Dr. 乔纳森 卡特 is a surgeon who specializes in minimally invasive, advanced approaches such as laparoscopic and robotic surgery to treat abdominal conditions. He cares for patients with hernias and disorders of the esophagus, 胆囊, stomach and intestines. He is also a bariatric surgeon and a member of the acute care surgery program, which provides surgical care in emergencies.
After earning his medical degree at Stanford University School of Medicine, 卡特 completed a residency in surgery and a fellowship in advanced laparoscopic and 减肥手术 at UCSF.
卡特 is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons and American Society for Metabolic and 减肥手术. As a UCSF faculty member, 卡特 has authored more than 60 peer-reviewed research papers in the subject areas of esophageal disease, 减肥手术, hernia and medical information science.
